| Speciality Group of Restaurants to expand in Tier-II and Tier-III citiest |

Speciality Group of Restaurants, which owns Mainland China, the largest chain of fine dining Chinese restaurants in India and few other branded restaurants will foray into other Indian cities in coming years. Anjan Chatterjee, Founder, Speciality Group of Restaurants said that the Group will take the brand into Tier-II and Tier III cities in the country in the next couple of years.
Speaking with Hospitality Biz, Chatterjee said that the Group is looking to operate more than 100 outlets across all brands in the country in the next couple of years. “We currently have 65 outlets across India and are expecting to become 100-outlet strong in the next couple of years,” he informed.
When asked about the business model for expansion, Chatterjee said the Group is driven by a single business model, i.e. Franchisee-owned-Company-operated (FoCo). He said that the particular model helps the Group to function freely and ensures about the quality of delivery.
Apart from Mainland China, Speciality Group of Restaurants also owns fine dining brands such as Oh! Calcutta, Haka, Sweet Bengal, Machaan, Sigree, Flame &Gill, Mostly Kebabs and Just Biryani. |
